Michael Vick

Blah. Blah. Blah.

All the naysayers hatin' on Vick. Vick killed dogs. Vick ran a dog fighting camp for profit. Vick can't return to the NFL. Vick to work as a construction worker for $10/hour. Vick to be on house arrest.

Emotions running on this one as Vick is set to be released from prison.

Lessons one could learn from this whole thing.

Number 1 - If you're blessed enough to have the opportunity to live the best life you can, don't f*ck it up!

Number 2 - All may be fair in love, but it ain't necessarily so in the world of justice.

My take.

Number 1 - I'm sure there's an NFL team somewhere willing to take a chance on a talented quarterback like Michael Vick.

Number 2 - A person who has paid his debt (and is genuinely sorry for the error of his/her ways) should be able to get up, brush him/herself off, and be allowed to live their life.

Number 3- Refer to Number 1. We'll see Michael Vick in the NFL (again).

While it may seem like I'm flip flopping on the issue, the fact remains: Michael Vick isn't Jack the Ripper. He didn't kill anybody. He fought dogs.

Now, he must fight to regain his dignity.

It may be okay for an athlete to get caught doing this, and that, and not be stripped of your achievements, but apparently you lose EVERYTHING if you fight dogs.
