Redskins (And Fans) Get A Holiday Win!

Skins defeated Philly, 10-3 (albeit, with 1 TD), yesterday at FedEx Field to start the holiday off on a winning note.

Said London Fletcher, “The energy was great. You could tell the difference all the way from our pre-game warm-ups to the end of the game. We just played with a tremendous amount of energy throughout the entire game, and came out with a victory.”

Fletcher credited defensive coordinator, Greg Blache for adding to the team's confidence.

"Blache wanted to drive home the fact that the Redskins’ defense is one of the best in the league."

“He showed us everything that we are, which really helped us with our confidence,” Fletcher said. (Source).

I've often wondered during the beginning of the season why Blache continued to berate and belittle the team when they were winning, often making comments like "We looked like the southbound part of a Northbound skunk."

How much different would the team's outcome have been this year if he praised them while they were winning, instead of making those "I'm-still-not-satisfied" comments.

Hey, you were WINNING!

Now the Skins stand at 8-7, after a hopeful 6-2 start in the season.

Gotta wonder if Jason Taylor misses Miami right about now. His former team is 10-5, #1 in the AFC East, playing in warm weather, and this time last year he was healthy (with no major injuries), and dancing with stars.

What a difference a season makes.
