Ah, the NBA. It's where dissin' moms (and their sons) on Mother's Day happens. (Warning: I've already Trademarked this phrase, so don't try and use it).
Last year about this time you read my blog post about what the King, and recently crowned, MVP of the NBA told his mom, on camera, in front of millions on Mother's Day. Click here. (Still not good - even a year later.)
Now, it seems another NBA mom has been verbally attacked - yet again on Mother's Day. Not by her own child this time, but by the owner of an NBA franchise.
Yep. According to reports Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks, in a tirade over his team losing in the final seconds against the Denver Nuggets when Denver's Carmelo Anthony hit a game winning three-point shot (seen here) - not only pushed a camera man out of the way - but tells the mother, Ms. Lydia Moore, of Denver Nuggets forward Kenyon Martin (and Trina's boo) that her "son is a thug".
My thoughts:
Caps owner, Ted Leonsis would never do such a thing. Redskins Albert Haynesworth would never allow such a thing (without retribution, at least).Certainly, the boys of the NHL aren't called thugs. Are they? (I'm just asking).
And while the NBA is "currently reviewing the situation" - you never tell a Mom, especially on Mother's Day, that her child is a thug. He might be one, and that's speculation, but it ain't up to you to say so - at least not the guy - a franchise owner - who is supposed to be above all the riff raff that is the Playoffs.
Mark Cuban...
you are the 'Bama of the Week', week, week!and should rightfully be fined - for both of your unsportsmanlike transgressions.
Watch the video showing Cuban shoving a camera man after his team's 105-106 loss to Denver.
