Makes It Official at Birthday/New Years' Eve/Engagement Party
At a New Year's Eve (and his 28th birthday) party LeBron James makes it official by finally asking the mother of this two children, Savannah Brinson (whom he called his Sidekick just last year), to marry him.

Bringing in 2012 with family and friends, among them Miami Heat stars Dwayne Wade (with actress Gabrielle Union) and Chris Bosh, the newly engaged couple partied the night away at Miami's SL night club.
James tweeted (not about his engagement, however): Wanna thank all my family, friends and fans for all the B-day wishes today! U guys are far to kind! Love u guys!!
Reaction to the news spread on Twitter with such musings as: "Congrats to @KingJames on getting engaged last night *golf clap* Savannah is now the leader in the James household with one ring."
James and Brinson have been together since James was a national prep star at St. Vincent-St. Mary in Akron, Ohio. The couple's two boys are LeBron, Jr. (7) and Bryce (4).
