In the past, the former Redskin Corner back showed his support for making American children healthier by advocating the FIT Kids Act - federal legislation that would require school districts to report on students' physical activity give them health and nutritional information. Now Smoot is showing support for children internationally by partnering with Smile 4 Haiti.
Smile 4 Haiti is a nonprofit organization created by Haitian American Marvin Bienaime to help the people of Haiti by rebuilding of infrastructure, assist in education, outreach efforts, and continue providing necessities to the families that desperately need them in order to survive. Smile 4 Haiti accomplishes this by collecting proceeds to be directly turned into resources the Haitian people.
