Wounded Warrior Ride

On a beautiful, but chilly, sunny Spring morning, Vice President Biden, along with wife Dr. Jill Biden hosted more than 20 wounded warrior veterans at the White House who will participate in the Wounded Warrior Ride, a program of the Wounded Warrior Project that provides rehabilitation opportunities for wounded warriors and raises public awareness of the challenges facing veterans as they recover from life-altering injuries as a result of war.

The riders, including Assistant Secretary of Public and Intergovernmental Affairs for the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, Tammy Duckworth took a few laps around the South Lawn of the White House. The official ride spans a
four-day cycling event, traveling through Washington, DC; Baltimore, Maryland; Andrews Air Force Base, ending in Annapolis, Maryland.
