Mystics Make It Three!

Mystics continue their win streak by defeating the Detroit Shock, on the road, 75-69.

AB had 15 points and helped three of her newly acquired teammates earn double figures: Crystal Langhorne (14 points), Marissa Coleman (13) and Matee Ajavon (12).

Leaving a dismal 2008 season behind, The Lady Mystics appear to have all the pieces to a winning 2009 season. Can you say WNBA Finals?

Chasity Melvin, who returned to the Mystics lineup this season, Tweeted the following on her Twitter page:
"3 and 0 not a bad start not a bad start at all."
Detroit played without three of its main players Cheryl Ford, Plenette Pierson, and Kara Braxton.

Taj McWilliams Franklin, who played last season for the Mystics, scored 14 points for the Shock in last night's loss.

Detroit's coach, Bill Laimbeer had this to say about his team...

“We didn’t play smart tonight. We had 22 turnovers, that was a big key to this game. We’re not good enough to do that right now. If we turn it over 20 times, we will not win.”

Message to President Obama. 'Memba this? Don't think we can't do it twice. (I mean that in a nice way, Mr. President).
