No, the Redskins definitely were not on top of their game in any way, shape or form today when they hosted the New York Jets at FedEx Field Sunday afternoon.
The Redskins haven't been on top of their game all season long. Fans don't need interim coach Bill Callahan to remind them of this.
The very dismal statistics do just fine.

In case you haven't been following along, the Redskins are 1-9. They are officially half-way through the season. So, the question has to be asked... When WILL you be at the top of your game?
Callahan, in his post-game interview said he was disappointed coming off the Bye week, especially when the team discussed problems and mistakes that have continued to plaque his team.
"I think that’s where we’ve faltered, just with the simplicity of snap counts, false starts, missed assignments, and blown coverages."
Despite QB Dwayne Haskins' two touchdowns in the losing effort, Callahan cites execution as another factor in the team's inability to win games.
"My only intention is that it gets more consistent from an execution standpoint. I think that’s where we lie right now."
It may be hard to be positive with the season looking the way it does (with no playoff hopes to speak of), yet Callahan said he is "a positive person" and has advised the team "to not give up."
"I think that's the main thing, that they don't give up. I don't see any quitting in that locker room from our players. We're down, they're hurt, but that’s to be expected. We're here to win."
Dear coach Callahan, please just win!
