The 26th annual Army Ten-Miler (ATM) kicks off with a free expo at the DC Armory on October 22 and 23rd from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. both days, race organizers and the Washington Convention and Sports Authority (WCSA) announced today.
Expo activities include special military displays, official ATM gear, health and fitness clinics and over 75 exhibitors showcasing their products and services.
Race organizers have partnered with the DC Road Runners Club to collect running shoes at this year’s expo. Bring your new or slightly worn running shoes to the DC Road Runners booth (#723) and Soles 4 Souls, a Nashville, Tenn. based charity, will collect and distribute the shoes to disadvantaged people worldwide.
The 2010 Army Ten-Miler Race Expo presented by Dell Federal features an elite line-up of health and fitness experts hosting clinics on topics including project management, race training, nutrition and fitness.
Clinics are held in 30-60 minute intervals from 1:00-6:30 p.m. on Friday and 10:30 a.m.-5:45 p.m. Saturday. Speaker schedules and additional information on the race weekend can be found at www.armytenmiler.com.
