Not one to outdo rival Jerry Jones of the Dallas Cowboys, Dan Snyder, owner of the Washington Redskins, wants his fan base to have the best game day experience ever.
Starting with the one hundred-foot long HD videoboards installed in each endzone out at Fed Ex Field. (Note: The sound is awesome).
When asked what Jerry Jones would think of the new video board, Snyder replied, "I think this is a little clearer than his." Adding he didn't think there would be "any over-the-head interference."
"This is a secure location, not above your head. It's good for all 90,000 [seats], and you don't have to be on the sidelines to see it."
The previous board was roughly 1/3 the size of the new board. When the old video board was taken down pieces of it were sold to fans for $5 to benefit the Redskins Charitable Fund.
The media was given a tour of the upgraded video control room (located on the Owner's Club Level) which has around $20 million dollars in overall improvements including eight new digital ribbon boards that will provide fans with out-of-town scores, stats and more.

This season the franchise will also provide traffic alerts via text message to fans, providing updates on the best routes to get to FedEx Field, and other new parking features that should make getting to Gameday less stressful. Visit www.redskins.com/parking.
Fans of the late Sean Taylor can see his locker now enclosed in Plexiglass with oversized photos of the fallen player on both sides. The locker was previously housed at Redskins Park in Ashburn but can now be seen by Suite, Loge and Club Level ticketholders, starting this Friday when the team will host the Buffalo Bills in preseason action. (The team starts off the regular season with the rival Cowboys on September 12).
Other noticeable improvements included new HD flat screens in the press room, along with oversized Sports Illustrated photos of various football scenes. And get this! Free WiFi for reporters! (Shouldn't have always been that way?)
Synder, just off what he called an awesome experience from both Redskins Fan Appreciation Day, and the induction of Russ Grimm into the football Hall of Fame in Canton Ohio, says fans will really appreciate the new improvements.
Improvements (totaling around $150m) that include the Redskins' own 'Hall of Fame' wall featuring snap shots of players of old (including Russ Grimm) and those that might possibly join him.
