The Redskins (1-1) travel to Detroit to take on the Lions (0-2), and former Skin Jon Jansen, this Sunday at Ford Field. Game time is 1 p.m. EST.
Detroit, currently 0-2, has struggled in the win column in the past, and fans want to see the Skins score big.
Skins QB, Jason Campbell sees Detroit as a dangerous team, eager for their first win, and not to be taken lightly.

The Washington Redskins sign linebacker Alvin Bowen to practice squad. To make room on the practice squad, Washington released linebacker Darrel Young.
The 6-foot-1, 223-pound Bowen was selected by Buffalo in the fourth round (247 overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft, but spend the whole season on Injured Reserve after suffering a knee injury in training camp. He spent the first two weeks of this season on the Bills’ practice squad before being waived on Tuesday.
Bowen was a three-year starter and two-time first-team All-Big XII Conference selection at Iowa State. The 25-year old Bowen is a native of East Orange, N.J.
Young signed with the Redskins as a college free agent on May 7 and, following his release after preseason, signed to the practice squad on Sept. 7.

Skins Practice Facility Treated For Microbial Organisms
The Washington Redskins training complex was treated today with a bacteria-fighting technology by CSG (Coatings Specialist Group). The application of CSG’s Surface Antimicrobial System will minimize the presence of illness-causing microorganisms and inhibit the growth of a bacteria, mold, and fungi non-stop on over 15,000 square feet of high-touch surfaces in the complex until 2012.
“We want to continue to take an aggressive approach in protecting our players,” said John Burrell, Redskins Head Athletic Trainer. “We are fortunate to have an owner in Dan Snyder who believes in taking the necessary steps to be proactive against MRSA infections. Based on the success we had with this treatment, the Redskins believe SurfaceAide has played an integral role in the prevention of MRSA infections.”
Areas of the Redskins Ashburn training complex that were treated include: player locker rooms, showers, toilets, steam rooms, coaches offices and locker rooms, weight room and training equipment, medical training area and spa. CSG’s antimicrobial technology sets the standard for environmentally-friendly antimicrobial products, as it creates an antimicrobial coating that is non-toxic, odorless, and non-sensitizing to human skin.
Interesting To Note
Not saying the two are related, just saying it's interesting to note.
Player Albert Haynesworth sat out almost three days during this year's training camp with a stomach virus .
Today coach Zorn mentioned to the media that Skins' Mike Williams "had some sort of stomach problem", and was also "dehyrdrated". "We sent him home. He will be back this afternoon in our training room and then he will be back tomorrow.”

“Even though they lost their first two games, they’re a totally different team. They play with a lot more urgency and they play with a lot more confidence... Not by any means are we taking this and not looking at it as an important game because it’s definitely an important game for us, and it’s an important game for them too. They have a lot of guys they brought over in free agency this offseason that are paying dividends for their team. It hasn’t shown up in the win column yet, but they’re definitely a different team than they were last season.”Zorn sees Detroit as "a solid football team."
"I see an excellent team that is playing hard the whole game. Their special teams are outstanding. I think that their defense is very fast and physical. They play within their scheme. It is one of those teams that does a nice job. You can tell they are coached well. They all play well together. On offense they have a young quarterback, but he has tremendous talent. So it just takes longer in that area, that’s the only thing I think they are trying to get up to their level.”With Randy Thomas out for the season with a torn tricep, Coach Zorn plans to give "Will Montgomery and Chad Rinehart, an opportunity", hoping to make a decision between the two, soon.
