It Takes A Little Preparation, Folks!

Ernie Grunfield says he and his team are confident about Thursday's NBA Draft, and the Wizards' No. 5 pick.

Not revealing his selection, and citing that the organization is "still in conversation", Grunfeld did reveal, "We feel like we're prepared and we feel like we're going to have a very solid player in the 5th spot."

"You have to do your homework, and you have to get ready, and you have to prepare for it."

We still don't know who the Wizards are looking at in the Draft (at least us outsiders).

What we do know: According to an insider, this guy, would like to see this guy make a go of it with the Wizards.

If not him, then Ricky Robio, perhaps?

Grunfeld says, "We've seen him play, and he has a very good skill set. We have a real good handle on what he can do."

After twenty minutes into the presser, still not an inkling of who Grunfeld may be thinking about selecting.

"There's a lot of players. You don't want to give your hand away."

The overall consensus is that the team will need to build around the veteran players consisting of Gilbert Arenas (who is working out, and rumored to have lost more than 20 pounds), Caron Butler (he's still a Wizard you guys), and Antawn Jamison.

The Wizards have both the 5th and the 32nd pick, overall.

When Grunfeld asked if he thought the 5th pick would be a weak pick, or a strong pick, Grunfeld answered: "We won't know that for about four or five years."

That's a long time to wait and see.
