5'9" guard, Nate Robinson (above photo)of the New York Knicks, wins the 2009 NBA All Star slam dunk contest by jumping over Superman, Dwight Howard.
Howard won last year's contest when he offered the crowd this performance.
Did Superman relinquish his title by allowing a rival in the contest to jump over his own 6'11" frame in a performance that wowed and excited the crowd even more than his own out-of-the-phone-booth-basketballbounce-off-the-side-of-the-backboard slam dunk?
Wouldn't that be like letting someone cheat off your test paper and the cheater getting a better grade than you?
Then again, was it brilliant strategy on the part of Robinson?
I'm just askin'.
This year's dunks were entertaining, but were they as good as this?
