During the 5:00 pm segment of the Sports Reporters sport show on ESPN 980 with Andy Polin, Steve Czaban, and John Feinstein yesterday, the 'Sports Reporters' made the following comment...
“Certain people with Ferraris you don’t bless. Those with the gated communities, the gansta houses, and the security cameras, and the Dobermans – you don’t say, God bless them".
Yeah, he said it!
That statement was made while talking to sports columnist Kevin Blackistone about CC Sabathia's (highest paid pitcher in history) $167 million deal with the Yankees.
What “certain people” are you speaking of, Mr. Sports Reporter?
This is just another sports reporter (and there are many) hatin' on another well-paid athlete. They seem to loathe players who get paid millions of dollars to play the games they claim they love to report.
I don't know about you, but whenever a family member gave us money as kids, we were always told to "take the money."
Apparently, the rules change when you become an adult.
This whole week has been nothing but a salary-bashing from sports reporters about athletes (yet again) who get paid to do what they do.
The fans, GMs, and agents have the final say when it comes to the salaries, not the players.
Don't hate the playa, hate the game.
After all, if it weren't for the players and ballers, what would sports reporters, analysts, etc. have to report?
Back to the blessing comment....
Since when do humans not need God’s blessing? Even ignorant radio talk show hosts need God’s blessings. (Perhaps even more than us regular folk).
Now, about that gansta, doberman, security camera comment that was made...
Who are you talking about, Mr. Sports Reporter? This guy? Perhaps this guy?
Oh, yeah, one mo' thing...
Drug (excuse me, pharmaceutical) companies, company CEOs, actors, entertainers wouldn't make all that money you claim to despise if you weren't supporting their product.
And, finally.
Congratulations CC, and may God continue to bless you!
That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it.
