The Washington Mystics season kicks off May 17th! Go Lady Mystics.
I am kinda sad to learn about this, however. I like her and was expecting big things from her this season.
There have been a lot of organizational changes with the Mystics, as you know, starting last season with former coach Richie Adubato resigning, former COO Curtis Symonds parting ways, players getting traded, etc.
On the upside, the Mystics hosted the WNBA All Star weekend (and the game) in the Nation's Capital, had a couple All Star nominees in the midst, and gained Tree Rollins as head coach.
We're looking for a great season with newly acquired Taj McWilliams Franklin who was picked up after the Mystics traded DeLisha Milton Jones.
Tickets for the upcoming season on sale now.
Update: Since the last posting, DC UrbanSports spotted a few of the Lady Mystics at Union Station just as they were returning home from an exhibition game with the New York Liberty.
On hand were Tamara James, general manager Linda Hargrove, assistant coach Crystal Robinson, director of scouting, Jessie Kenlaw, and the Mystics PR.
When asked how the exhibition game went, Kenlaw stated, "It went well."
Indeed it did. The Mystics defeated New York, 58-52.

Lastly...
Art Monk and Darrell Green are Hall of Fame inductees. Congratulations guys!
Follow the NFL dynamite duos on the road to the upcoming Hall of Fame ceremony by taking Route 281!
