Happy Birthday Etan!

Wizards forward, Etan Thomas is another year older today.

You will probably remember Etan for having spoken out about the Iraq war at an anti-war war protest a few years ago; his book of poetry entitled 'More Than An Athlete', and his community activism.

Last year, Etan underwent surgery to repair an aortic heart valve. He has since been recovering well, has returned to practice with the team, although not yet cleared to play in the regular season games.

Etan and his wife, Nicole, recently welcomed another member to their family with the birth of their second child.

With all the blessings this family has received, truly, today (and everyday) is a day worth celebrating!
