Ravens' Lamar Jackson Feeling 'Blessed'

This was the scene Monday night outside of Blessed, a sneaker and sports apparel store at Tysons Mall, as fans and onlookers tried to get a glimpse of (and possible autograph from) Baltimore Ravens quarterback sensation Lamar Jackson.

The crowd waited for nearly an hour as Jackson and his teammates shut down the store for a private shopping spree. Several bags lined the floor and counter top as the playmakers meticulously presented their items for purchase.
“He’s buying up the whole store”, one onlooker said, as he began to get impatient waiting for Jackson to finish shopping and greet the crowd.

Others brought along their Jackson jerseys, patiently waiting in hopes of getting them signed.

A mom, who had just purchased a Jackson jersey for her eight year-old son for Christmas, made her way to the front of the crowd, fixing herself within inches of the establishment’s front door.

“I’m here trying to get it autographed for my son, she said. “We’ve been watching him since college.”

After nearly an hour, Jackson and his teammates emerged to the delight of fans who began following the star QB a short distance through the mall shouting, MVP!, MVP!, before he was whisked away through a side door on the mall's second floor.

The Baltimore Ravens clinched the No. 1 seed in the AFC North with a 13-2 record and are scheduled to play their rival Pittsburgh Steelers this Sunday. Ravens’ coach John Harbaugh said he would rest several of his star players during this final game of the regular season as they prepare players for the upcoming playoffs.

“Playing time will be determined on a case-by-case basis”, said Harbaugh. “They have everything to play for and we’ll be looking to put our absolute best foot forward.
