“Tony has done a great job serving as our Senior Vice President of Communications for nearly a decade with us, said Redskins owner Dan Snyder. “I’m very proud of this tremendous accomplishment in being hired by the Special Olympics as their Regional President, North America. Tanya and I will always hold a special place in our hearts between our family and the Wyllies. Tony will always be a member of the Redskins family.”

“We are excited to welcome Special Olympics North America’s new Regional President and Managing Director, Tony Wyllie,” said Special Olympics International CEO Mary Davis. “Tony’s accomplishments prove he is dedicated to pushing past expectations. Our revolution is inclusion, and his forward-thinking leadership will help create a world where every single person is accepted and welcomed.”

“I feel incredibly fortunate for the privilege to join this outstanding global organization that, through sport, provides opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities to display their gifts and talents on and off the playing fields around the world,” said Wyllie. “I will use my leadership skills and experience to continue to deliver high-quality competitive sports experiences, attract more resources, and build awareness for the Special Olympics. I am excited to work for the six million Special Olympics athletes and Unified Partners in the movement for inclusion.”
Mr. Wyllie also thanked his soon-to-be-former employer, Dan Snyder, for the opportunity to be a part of the Redskins franchise.

“I can’t begin to express just how grateful I am to Dan Snyder for giving me an opportunity to join the Washington Redskins and expand my career,” said Wyllie. “He challenged me to be better, to think bigger, and that guidance, along with an undying support from the entire Redskins family, has allowed me to grow beyond my expectations.”
Wyllie's experience goes beyond the world of sports to include working for several non-profit organizations.  In Houston, he served on numerous Boards of Directors, including the March of Dimes, the Ensemble Theatre in Houston, the Management Leadership for Tomorrow-Houston, John P.
