Williams amazed her fans as she fought back when Safarova flexed her muscles in the second set; but true to form, Williams prevailed.

Not only did Williams stun with the win, she gained even more prestige and honor after she gave her post game remarks in French. (Roland Garros not her first French speaking experience).

Twitter was on fire praising the Queen of Tennis for her effort.

Williams is poised to match (or surpass) the record for most female titles won. Steffi Graf has won 22 titles and Margaret Court with 24.

Even with all her brilliance, Williams said, "I can't believe I won."

Williams returns to Washington July 21 to play with the Washington Kastles as they take on the Boston Lobsters.

Her sister Venus Williams is scheduled to play July 14 when the Kastles meet the Austin Aces.
