Add Nascar Driver To RG3's Growing List of...

Redskins QB, Robert Griffin III was seen in  Richmond over the weekend participating in the annual NASCAR Sprint Cup Race.

Griffin drove Toyota's Camry hybrid 'pace car' and not one of the super fast, super furious race cars of the pro NASCAR drivers.

RGIII does NASCAR at Richmond International Raceway.  Notice his name atop of the car.

Luminaries and sports figures participate annually in the pace car driving event.

Griffin was quick to let fans, and his employer, know that it was all in fun and not to worry; he wasn't putting himself in harms way.

Said Griffin, “So Bruce Allen, Dan Snyder, Coach Jay [Gruden], you don’t have anything to worry about!”

Joey Logano won the Toyota Owners 400, beating out Brad Keselowski,  Jeff Gordon, and Matt Kenseth,.

[IMHO: It's always a sad day when a Gordon doesn't win a NASCAR race.]

The Redskins 2014 training camp takes place again in Richmond this summer, in which the team plans to properly prepare for the NFL schedule that is ahead of them (which noticeably does not include the Ravens).

Next up.  Redskins Draft Day at FedEx, May 10th!
