Washington Mystics general manager, Sheila Johnson, is set unveil to the public her Salamander Resort and Spa on Thursday, August 29, just in time for the Labor Day holiday.

The resort boasts a 168-room establishment nestled in the scenic, historic countryside of Middleburg, VA's wine country on 340 green, tree-lined acres.

Sheila Johnson set to reveal her latest gift to Middleburg, VA - Salamander Resort & Spa
For the luxurious cost of $425 per night (to start) guests will be treated to a private courtyard, an infinity pool, cooking studio, and wine bar, to name a few of the facility's ritzy amenities that also include rooms with marble showers and body jets, pedestal tubs and enclosed water closets.

Spa packages at the Salamander Resort & Spa include complimentary Aroma Infused Steam Rooms, heated Teppdarium Loungers and Relaxation Lounges.

Dr. Johnson, no stranger to treating the ladies on her Washington Mystics WNBA team and staff members to spa visits, can now do so in her very own deluxe-style space.

Guests experience luxury and comfort at Salamander Spa & Resort.

When it comes to dining, guests can expect the same award winning dining experience found at Washington, D.C.'s Equinox, owned by Todd Gray, who also serves as the resort's Culinary Director.

Conference and event facilities are also available on site.

Who's Who list of invited guests will parlay the facility on Thursday morning giving way to a public viewing beginning at noon.

So, what did Johnson the self-made entrepreneur, millionaire, mother, business owner, executive, philanthropist, and all-around 'super woman' have to say about her latest accomplishment?

"We got it done."

And if Sheila Johnson wants it done, it shall be done.

More

Just a thought. (Or two).

On the resort's food.  We can't help but wonder if two of the most famous chefs in our area, White House Chef, Sam Cass and Salamander's Todd Gray will somehow cross paths in some way that would be beneficial to the Resort.

On the guest list.  Friends of Dr. Johnson, we wonder if somehow the Obama family will get the opportunity stay in a private area of the establishment.  RGIII perhaps?  Oprah Winfrey?

We can almost be certain that Johnson's business partner, and close friend, Ted Leonsis won't be a stranger.
