Five Howard University student-athletes are set for competition on May 23-25 during the 2013 NCAA Division I East Outdoor Preliminary Championships in Greensboro, N.C., on the campus of North Carolina A&T State University at the Irwin Belk Track.

Junior Monica Todd will be the sole Lady Bison on the track, as she competes in the 400-meter hurdles. Todd secured her place in the event with a sixth place finish at the Penn Relays on April 25-27.

Junior Wallace Spencer makes his second appearance at the NCAA Division I East Outdoor Preliminaries, once again entering the 110-meter hurdles, while adding the 200-meter dash to his performance list. Wallace attained his qualifying times during the 2013 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships in Greensboro, N.C.

Sophomore Giovani Mowatt will also return to the NCAA event for the second year in a row. At North Carolina State University's Wolfpack Last Chance meet, Mowatt finished the 800-meter run with a time of 1:50.26 to qualify for this week's event.
