Redskins, Coats and Kids

Coming off a four-game win streak that saw the Washington Redskins beat, in overtime,  the Baltimore Ravens, 31-28, a few Redskin players took time out to bring joy - and fun - to a few kids today during their annual Covered For The Holidays winter coat drive, an event the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation along with Macy’s hold where 300 coats, scarves, gloves and hats are donated to under served youth in the DC metro area.

Stephen Bowen, Fred Davis, Lorenzo Alexander, Brandon Banks, Doug Worthington, Niles Paul, Joshua Morgan, Darius Hanks and Alfred Morris were all scheduled to join in on the Redskins' "Season of Sharing" campaign event.

The Redskins also participate in Santa's Workshop where the team's locker room at FedEx Field is turned into a toy land for a day to allow area kids a chance to select a toy of their choice.

Other DC sport teams hold like events in the DC area. The Washington Wizards give back by celebrating their 12 Days of Holiday Cheer where they spread Holiday cheer to needy families.
