DC Sports Pride Displayed At.... Monday Night BINGO?

Several DC sport fans (and confessed BINGO enthusiasts) proudly wore their DC sports jerseys at a Fairfax, Virginia BINGO hall Monday night.

Washington Nationals.
Robin Center proudly wore her Nationals jersey after the Nationals defeated the Phillies 12-2 Monday.  Center was 'front and center' at the game and said the game was "great".  The Nationals are in playoff mode for the first time in over 20 years.

They fell, however, Tuesday night 6-3 to the Phillies losing their chance to win the East, but a fired up fan base expects them to resume their winning ways when the two teams meet again in the Series tonight in Philly.

**Update**  Nationals won 7-3.  Read about it.

Washington Capitals.
The current NHL lockout didn't stop this fan from wearing her Washington Capitals jersey on Monday night .  Robin Kerhart, pictured below, demonstrated she still has faith that her beloved Caps will be ready for action this season, with a Playoff spot to boot!

Washington Wizards.
The Wizards begin training camp at George Mason University Tuesday, October 2 – Tuesday, October 9.

This year marks the third year with number one draft pick John Wall, and the third year without the former star of the team, Gilbert Arenas.  What's Arenas doing now? Wishing upon a star, perhaps?

No matter. Andres Rojas is still an Arenas fan. Here, he wears the original Agent Zero fan T-shirt.

Before next week's training camp, VP/General Manager Ernie Grunfield took to the mic to talk camp, and more. Click here to listen.

**Update**  Live coverage of Wizards media day...
Visit WashingtonWizards.com on Monday, October 1st for a live stream from media day with Casey Phillips; featuring player interviews, staff interviews, and a visit from MSE Majority Owner Ted Leonsis. The action will kick off around Noon with Wizards rookie Bradley Beal! Use #WizardsMediaDay to ask questions via Twitter.

Washington Redskins.
While there were no Redskin jerseys sighted Monday night, a drop off in Redskins apparel normally seen at such venues, we did find two ladies enjoying Papa Johns pizza during BINGO play.

PJs offers free toppings for every TD the Skins score.  Last week against the team's 38-31 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals there were how many TDs scored?  Can you remember?

In Redskins news, the team signed free agent cornerback David Jones and waived/injured cornerback Crezdon Butler. The Redskins also signed defensive lineman Chigbo Anunoby (ch-BOO Ann-u-noby) to their practice squad and released defensive lineman Delvin Johnson from their practice squad.

Washington Mystics.
There were no Mystics jerseys worn at Monday night BINGO either.  The Mystics are again in the midst of a coaching change for the 'right' coach to take them to the promised land (how many does that make in the last five years?), and they're also hopefull that they can secure 7'4" Brittney Griner in this year's WNBA Draft.

The Mystics wish to thank the fans for the continued support -watch here.

Oh, the ups and downs of DC sports teams.

But the fans still love them.
