Tiger beat Bo Van Pelt as the two went back and forth trading ties on the day.  Pelt opened the door for Woods when Pelt settled for a bogey on 17th green that gave Woods a one-shot lead that sealed the deal for Woods.

The win is Woods' third on the year and his 74th on the PGA circuit.

"It feels great to get to 74 wins and get past Jack [Nicholas]", Woods said in his post-win press conference.

Inclement weather in the  DC region caused several downed trees and power outages causing Congressional to be closed to spectators on Saturday.   The crowd returned on Sunday (Saturday tickets honored) in full force to witness Woods at work.

He earned nearly $6.5 million on the day.

Woods thanked the staff who worked diligently for helping to clean up and restore the country club making it safe for fans to participate.

The Tiger Woods Facebook page boasts over two million fans, proving the once troubled golf phenom is still a golf favorite.

Woods addressed the question of the media counting him out during his struggle to return to the game due to injury and personal crisis.

"Give me some time and this is what I can do."

Congratulations to Tiger.
