Capital ShowDown Workout

While the rest of the DC sports reporters continued to concentrate on the sick, sordid, weird, disgusting world of Joe Paterno and Jerry Sandusky and all the 'Nittony lying' going at Penn State, the real DC sports news was being made over at Header Banger boxing gym this morning where boxers in the upcoming Capital Showdown boxing extravangaza gave the media a taste of what we'll see on December 10.

We caught up with heavyweight contender Seth Mitchell who will fight against Timur Ibragimov. In our interview, Mitchell discusses his upcoming opponent, meeting the legends of boxing, and his role as a professional boxer.

"Capital Showdown: Khan vs. Peterson," a 12-round Unified Super Lightweight World Title Fight for Khan's WBA World Super Championship and IBF World Championship taking place on Saturday, Dec. 10 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC, is presented by Golden Boy Promotions and Khan Promotions and sponsored by Cerveza Tecate, DeWalt Tools and AT&T. Also featured will be a 10-round heavyweight battle between Seth "Mayhem" Mitchell and Timur Ibragimov.
