Washington Convention and Sports Authority Teams With Marriott International

The Washington Convention and Sports Authority (WCSA) today announced a partnership with Marriott International to serve as the “Official Lodging Partner” for the Nation’s Football Classic™. Participating hotels include the Renaissance Washington, DC Downtown, JW Marriott Washington, DC, Courtyard US Capitol, Courtyard Embassy Row, Washington Marriott at Metro Center and The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C.

The inaugural Nation’s Football Classic™ kicks off with Howard University and Morehouse College renewing their historic rivalry on September 10, 2011 at 3:30 p.m. at RFK Stadium.

As part of the partnership agreement, Morehouse College, officials, sponsors and special guests will be housed at Marriott properties. The Renaissance Washington, DC Downtown will serve as the headquarters hotel and host the official Welcome Dinner, President’s Reception and Alumni Networking events. The Washington Marriott at Metro Center will serve as the team hotel.

The Nation’s Football Classic™ and Marriott are offering special discount rates for visitors, alumni and fans attending the Classic.
