Urban retailer DTLR and Morgan State alumni Visanthe Shiancoe are inviting Baltimore-area student athletes who will enter grades 7 - 12 in school year 2011 - 2012 to register for the DTLR Football Clinic, hosted by Shiancoe. The free, one-day clinic will allow participants to enhance their current skills and learn more about the college recruiting process and will be held on June 18 at Morgan State University (1700 E. Cold Spring Lane, Baltimore) from 9a-2p.

Brian Orakpo Football Camp: The Brian Orakpo Football Camp is scheduled to be held June 26-29 at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. The camp is designed for players ages 7 to 18 and will feature daily instruction, lectures and demonstrations by Orakpo and/or members of the Washington Redskins. The college and high school coaches on staff will ensure individual and team instruction on both offense and defense. Football newcomers and seasoned players alike will also experience teamwork, self-discipline, selecting the correct role models and how to attain their sports and life potential.“The goal of the camp and instructors is to maximize the potential of each young player while giving them an experience they will never forget,” says Orakpo.

Casting call for children ages 6-12 to sing the National Anthem at the Legg Mason Tennis Classic. Auditions Saturday, June 4th from 11am-3pm at the Pentagon City Shopping mall. Details here.

The United States Tennis Association is seeking talented kids 12 years of age or younger to be among those to audition to sing a musical composition as selected by the USTA at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center prior to a session of the 2011 US Open.
