Financial Fitness For The Athlete In Your Life

We hear of stories all the time of how professional athletes with huge contracts often times succumb to money scams and reckless spending habits that eventually leave them broke and helpless.

Joe Gibbs, in his book Game Plan For Life, has a section dedicated to helping the athlete survive money pitfalls.

On tomorrow, March 31st, Washington, DC native and current New England Patriots cornerback, Leigh Bodden and the Leigh Bodden Foundation, will host a group of 30 young people at a money management seminar aimed at teaching basic financial skills.

Volunteers from Bank of America will be on hand to lead the discussion specifically tailored on budgeting, managing finances, and how to adjust during varying economic climates.

The event is designed to empower and educate area youth on how to plan for a successful lifestyle and will kick off national Financial Literacy Month, established in 2004 in an effort to educate all Americans about financial responsibility during the month of April.

All participants must be pre-registered to attend. For more information about registering, please call 240-391-6246 or email MClark@.
