Another Accolade For One Kobe 'Bean' Bryant

On February 19, Bryant will have his hand and foot print imprinted at the world-famous Grauman's Chinese Theater.

He will also set yet another record. He will be the first athlete (of any sport, mind you) to do so.

"To be a part of such elite company is a tremendous honor. I'm proud to be the first athlete to be recognized," said Bryant.

Saturday will mark the five-year anniversary of the night the Lakers' guard scored 81 points in LA against the Toronto Raptors.

Jeru Tillman of Southfield Village Entertainment stated, “Today’s athletes are among the best known and most talented entertainers in the world. We are pleased Kobe will be honored for the many years of enjoyment he has given us on the basketball court.”

Movie mogul Jerry Bruckheimer, Cher, and actor Robert Duvall were last year's honorees.

Kobe joins those and others who have left their indelible marks in front of the Theatre.
