Men's Semifinals Set for Saturday

The final four spots in the 2010 US Open men's draw are now set as No. 1 Rafael Nadal defeated his compatriot No. 8 Fernando Verdasco in straight sets and No. 12 Mikhail Youzhny won a five-set battle with No. 25 Stanislas Wawrinka to reach the semifinals on Day 11.

Nadal came from a break down in the opening set against Verdasco to bring it back on serve and took control from there to win 7-5, 6-3, 6-4 and reach the semifinals for the third straight year as he pursues his first career US Open title.

Youzhny moved into the US Open semifinals for the second time in his career and the first time since 2006 to match his best career showing at a Grand Slam tournament with his 3-6, 7-6 (7), 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 victory over Wawrinka.

Roger Federer is set to play Novak Djokovic in the other men's semifinal on Super Saturday.
