Jimmy Lange Wins Unanimious Decision in Greenboro, Prepares for Sept 18 in Michigan

Junior middleweight contender Jimmy Lange (33-4-2, 23 KOs) won last tonight in Greensboro with a convincing six-round decision (60-50, 60-50, 59-52) over Mike McFail (12-40-2, 4 KOs) highlighted by a pair of knockdowns (3rd and 6th rounds) both courtesy of an effective right.

Lange came out dominating in the first round at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex’s War Memorial Auditorium utilizing his trademark stiff jab causing enough damage where McFail was issued a standing eight count. The former Contender star fighting out of Great Falls, VA pressed the action throughout the contest and finished strongly by battering a game, but wobbly Baltimore-based McFail in the final stanza.

Lange immediately heads back to Gleason’s Gym in New York with trainer Jimmy Glenn to prepare for a co-main event bout (opponent TBD) on a September 18 show in Monroe, MI.

He is scheduled to return home to the Patriot Center on November 6 to headline another Ice Promotions card presented by Valcourt Building Services.
