Mystics Score Home Opening Win!

What better way to start off the home season than on a winning note.

The Washington Mystics win big over rival New York Liberty in a 77-61 victory.

Three players scored double figures as the Lady Mystics improve to 3-0 at the start of 2010 season. Players Lindsey Harding scored 21 (despite struggling early in the game), Monique Currie added 18, and Crystal Langhorne added 10 points along with 11 rebounds.

Langhorne is the newest milk-drinking athlete to join the National Milk Mustache got milk?”® campaign and don the famous Milk Mustache. She joins other basketball elite all-stars such as Diana Taurasi, Chauncey Billups and Deron Williams, and tammate who all know that what they eat and drink can make a difference in their performance and their bodies.

The WNBA's Most Improved Player of the Year had a breakout season in 2009. In only her second year, Langhorne improved her scoring average from 4.8 to 12.0 points per game while increasing her rebounding average from 4.0 to 7.9 per game.

Cappie Poindexter was the high scorer for the Liberty with 14.

The Mystics face three road trips that will see them facing Connecticut (May 23), Seattle (May 25), and LA (May 28) before again facing Connecticut at home on Sunday, May 30th.

Vote for your favorite Mystics players to play in this year's All Star Game.
