DC Roller Girls Spring League Championship

After racing to identical 3-1 records during the regular season, the DC DemonCats and Scare Force One meet in the 2010 DC Rollergirls League Championship Bout on Saturday, April 10 at the DC Armory. Doors open at 3 p.m. and the action begins at 4 p.m.

Scare Force One captured the league’s first two championships, and as evidenced by their play this season, absence has made the heart grow fonder.

“This has been a great overall season for the DC Rollergirls from record fan attendance to intense competition on the track,” said Erik A Moses, managing director of the WCSA’s Sports, Entertainment and Special Events Division. “Both of these teams are very talented and hungry for the championship trophy so we might get an instant classic out of this bout.”

Scare Force One defeated the DemonCats for their second title in 2008 and each team has defeated the other during this regular season. Overall, the DC Rollergirls League is enjoying an average of over 1,500 fans per bout in its third season in the DC Armory.

The first bout of the day is an exhibition between the Cherry Blossom Bombshells and the Rogue Rollergirls of Fayetteville, N.C. The game entertainment includes a Raw Power Air Guitar competition for attending fans and a performance by the O’Neill-James School of Irish Dancing.
