Redskin Samuels At Art Creates Life Event

Redskins' offensive tackle Chris Samuels attended the Art Creates Life kickoff campaign at the Washington Plaza Hotel Saturday evening.

The ACL is a program designed to stamp out illiteracy in the US and Africa. Proceeds from Saturday's event benefit The Duke Ellington School of the Arts, The William E Doar Public Charter School, and the Children's Studio Public Chart School.

Supporters of the ACL include actress Taraji P. Henson, ABC News anchor Cynne Simpson, actor Lamman Rucker (Meet the Browns) and national life coach, Bill Russell.

Samuels, a nine year NFL veteran, will make a career decision soon on whether or not to return to the Washington Redskins lineup. Samuels sustained a neck injury during last week's game against Kansas City where the Skins were met with a 6-14 loss.

The Skins host the Philadelphia Eagles at home in Monday Night Football.
