Out At Redskins Park

The forecast for the Washington Redskins gets a bit cloudier as they ready themselves for this Monday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Chris Samuels, out with a neck injury, is not scheduled to play in Monday's game. The offensive tackle suffered the injury during last week's game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

In a statement issued today, Samuels said, “I will continue to seek medical advice. I hope to see where I am physically over the next couple months. At this time, I have not made a decision, but I love playing for the Redskins and hope to be back.”

Speculation has been swirling that the nearly ten year veteran will retire from the NFL this season.

Other injuries reported Friday include defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth and running back Clinton Portis. Both are dealing with ankle injuries but should be ready for Monday night's game.

Chris Horton and Kareem Moore sat out practice earlier in the week due to flu-like symptoms. They were not listed on Friday's injury report, however.
