Stallworth's 30 Days!

How many times do folk have to be told - DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE?'

I'll repeat the question this way. How many times do folk have to be told NOT TO DRINK AND DRIVE?!

Shouldn't it be elementary by now, &*#2 it?!

According to an AP article, Cleveland Browns wide receiver, Donte' Stallworth, took full responsibility for killing a pedestrian while driving drunk in Florida this past March, and began serving a 30-day jail sentence Tuesday after he pleaded guilty to DUI manslaughter.

Stallworth also reached a confidential financial settlement to avoid a potential lawsuit from the family of 59-year-old Mario Reyes, according to Stallworth attorney Christopher Lyons. Reyes was struck and killed March 14 (2009) by Stallworth, who was driving his black 2005 Bentley after a night drinking at a swanky hotel bar.

Stallworth, 28, told Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Dennis Murphy that he hopes to get involved in drunken driving education programs.

More after the break.

MADD - Drunk Driving

Thirty days?

And to think, Vick got two years for not killing anyone, but fighting dogs, and you, Mr. Stallworth, got 30 days and 8 years probation. (I won't even speculate on this NFL player's situation).

&^%^ it, Stallworth!

But let's be fair.

"After realizing he had hit something on that eventful day, Stallworth stopped immediately after the accident, called 911 and submitted to roadside alcohol testing despite spending most of the night drinking at a Miami Beach hotel."

STILL...

In case you, missed the message, DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE!

If you STILL missed it... push play.

MADD Mothers Against Drunk Driving Ad, -

What would you do if your loved one was killed by a drunk driver? Fill in the blanks: I would ________________. (!/and then I would) _________.

Don't let this happen to you (or someone you love).

"I accept full responsibility for this horrible tragedy," said Stallworth, who was accompanied at the hearing by his parents, siblings and other supporters. "I will bear this burden for the rest of my life."
And what about the Reyes family?
