Coming off a 31 point game (and victory) over the Chicago Sky, Mystics guard Alana Beard wins Player of the Week honors.Beard averaged 25.5 points per game, 4.0 rebounds per game, 2.5 assists per game and 3.0 steals per game in contests against the Atlanta Dream and Chicago Sky. She also shot 59% from the field and 40% from the three point line.
Washington currently leads the Eastern Conference with a 4-1 record. The Mystics will host the 2007 WNBA Champion, Phoenix Mercury on Thursday, June 25 at 7:00 p.m.
