UWC's Capital Punishment This Saturday at George Mason Patriot Center

Special guest: MMA superstar TITO ORTIZ .

Redskins Chris Cooley, Clinton Portis, Colt Brennan, among other area celebrities expected to be cageside for this Saturday's East Coast’s biggest MMA show!

Former UFC light heavyweight champion, Tito Ortiz, arguably the sport’s biggest name whose appeal has risen beyond the mixed martial arts world due to his “Celebrity Apprentice” television appearance and marriage to adult film icon Jenna James, will be a special guest at The Ultimate Warrior Challenge’s UWC - Capital Punishment event Saturday, April 25 at the Patriot Center.

In just over a year, UWC, the east coast’s number one MMA organization, has quickly become a hot ticket for celebrities to catch world-class cage fighting live and in person.

Top local sports personalities scheduled to be cageside on Saturday include:

Chris Cooley: Washington Redskins Pro Bowl tight end
Clinton Portis: Washington Redskins Pro Bowl running back
Colt Brennan: Washington Redskins quarterback; University of Hawaii standout

Previous UWC shows have attracted the likes of Alex Ovechkin, Donald Brashear, Mike Green and Nicklas Backstrom from the Washington Capitals, MMA superstars Matt Hughes, Robbie Lawler, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, Carlos “Natural Born Killer” Condit, Urijah “California Kid” Faber, Carlos “Shogun” Rua, and ESPN’s Tony Reali (aka “Stat Boy” on PTI). Thousands of fans from across the region have packed the Patriot Center to witness the hottest grow sport in the world.

Inside the cage, DC-native Mike “The Hulk” Easton will defend his UWC World Bantamweight Championship against Josh “Taz” Ferguson in the Main Event, with rising stars and top veterans from across the Washington region and nation battling in seven other bouts scheduled to start at 7:00 pm.
