DC Armor Loses Home Opener

The DC Armor, Washington, D.C.’s indoor football team, dropped their home opener to the Reading Express, 39-19, before a spirited crowd of 2,114.

Reading quarterback Rob Flowers passed for 156 yards (18-for-33) with four touchdowns and no interceptions. Flowers also rushed for two touchdowns and 34 yards. In his DC Armory debut, the Armor’s Mike Scipione passed for 150 yards (14-for-31) with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Reading is 3-1 and the Armor fell to 1-2.

D.C. go-go legend Chuck Brown performed at halftime followed by a special performance by the Eastern High School band.

The Armor’s next game is at the DC Armory against the Fayetteville Guard on Saturday, April 11.
