*Howard Swim Team Defeats NJ Highlanders. Pick Up First Win.
LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - The Howard swim teams defeated NJIT in a duel meet last Saturday in Loudonville, N.Y.

The men's squad took down the Highlanders 103-73 while the women's team defeated NJIT 56-8.

Nzingha Murphy (Atlanta, Ga./North Atlanta) paced the women's squad with two first-place finishes in the 50 yard (25.09) and 500 yard (5:41.62) freestyles.

Polo Edwards (Rockville, Md./Good Counsel) was second in the 200 yard freestyle in 2:03.77. Rochelle Smith (Oakland, Calif./Holy Names) took fourth in the same event in 2:31.39. Edwards went on to take third in the 100 yard backstroke in 1:09.76.

Aminah Murphy (Atlanta, Ga./North Atlanta) was the runner up in the 200 yard individual medley (2:22.57) and the 100 yard butterfly (1:04.07). More.
