Here's the official announcement...

Veteran Player Will Return to Team in 2009

Washington, D.C. - Washington Mystics General Manager Linda Hargrove announced today that guard Coco Miller has re-signed with the team for the next two years. An eight-year WNBA veteran, Miller has spent her entire career with the Mystics. Per team policy, financial terms were not released.

“Coco has been an important part of the Mystics for a long time and she continues to show her value, said Hargrove. “As one of the solid players in this league, we are happy that she has decided to commit to the team for another two years.”

Miller was drafted in 2001 following a standout career at the University of Georgia where she was named to the All-SEC first team in 1999 and 2001. In 2002, Miller was named the WNBA’s Most Improved Player and averaged 9.3 points per game and 3.6 rebounds per game. She has recorded career averages of 6.3 points per game and 2.4 rebounds per game

“I am extremely excited to return to the Mystics” said Miller. “The organization has treated me so well and I look forward to the 2009 season.”
