Fairfax, VA (September 1st, 2008) – World-class professional mixed marital arts action makes its highly-anticipated return to the Patriot Center on Saturday, October 11, 2008 as Ultimate Warrior Sports Development, LLC, presents UWC - CONFRONTATION.
Doors will open at 4:30pm with the first fight scheduled for 6pm. Tickets are now on sale and may be purchased through all Ticketmaster outlets and online at www.uwcmma.com.
“Based on the success of our first DC-area show last April, we’re very optimistic and looking forward to putting on an even greater event with Confrontation,” said Ultimate Warrior Sports Development CEO S. Marcello Foran.
The sport continues to gain tremendous momentum across the country and shows positive growth in attracting a more diverse fan base, combining casual sports fans with a passionate legion of hardcore MMA supporters.
UWC - INVASION, held last April, entertained nearly 5,000 fans at the Patriot Center and drew rave reviews from the MMA community for its non-stop action from start to finish with its highly-charged and celebrity-filled environment.
The event featured a mix of accomplished fighters, UFC veterans, and local stars putting on an outstanding and highly-talked about show.
Superstars such as Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, Andre “The Pitbull” Arlovski, Brandon “The Truth” Vera and others traveled across the country to get a first-hand look at the UWC presentation.
