Mystics Fall To Connecticut 82-60

The Lady Mystics fall to the Connecticut Sun in Sunday's contest at the Verizon Center.

Mystics guard Alana Beard was held to just 7 points, while Taj McWilliams-Franklin and Crystal Langhorne had 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Former Mystics, Asjha Moore had 27 points against her old team mates.

The team struggled with numerous missed shots and rebounding.

This is the second 20 point blow-out game this month for the Mystics, after a thirty-point loss to Detroit (62-99) on July 17, that caused the firing of then coach, Tree Rollins.

Interim coach Jesse Kenlaw, in a post-game interview, said she wants to improve the team's defensive intensity.

"I need to be patient with the team." They need more time to adjust to my coaching style."

"I have high expectations of the team." The girls think they are out there playing hard, and they are; but it just isn't enough", said Kenlaw.

"We need to do what it takes to consistently win."
