June 13, 2008- The Washington Mystics put a cloud over the Chicago Sky this evening as they win, on the road, 64-57.
Alana Beard, with 22 points on the evening, scored twelve points alone in the 4th quarter, to include two 3-pointers.
The Mystics rebound after a five-game losing streak that included a close loss, 79-76, to Sacramento last Wednesday night at home.
Tonight's win is definitely a confidence booster, as Beard could be seen with all smiles as she joined her teammates in a group huddle after the game.
Beard, in a post game interview after last Wednesday's loss said the Mystics "needed to win" going into the game with Chicago.
And win they did.
Oh, the power of positive thinking.
