A Bit Late...But

Final coverage of Big Tigger and his Streetcorner Foundation's celebrity weekend.

The Wiz defeated the Bullets 74-72 in last Saturday's celeb basketall game in front of a sold out crowd at UDC's gymnasium.

The Washington Wizard's Caron Butler and Roger Mason served as honorary coaches.

Celebrity players included Seahawks Deon Grant, Michigan's Darnell Hood, Wizards Andray Blatche, Dallas Cowboys Terrell Owens, and a host of other celebs from around the NFL and NBA.

Here are a few pics from the game.

Even though Tig told the media at the pre-game meeting that he, and his celeb friends are not role models, (some kid somewhere thinks otherwise) and its up to the parents to raise their kids, I take issue with that thought.

Afterall, doesn't it take a whole village to raise a child? Parents...Community...Church...School...Government...Etc.?

So while the sports, music, and entertainment, and film industries, (very influential over kids), refuse to take responsibility for their actions we'll continue to talk AIDs/HIV and wonder why our kids (girls AND boys) are at risk for societal ills.

Yes, it's great to be a celeb, but even bigger to be a positive 'role model'.
