Gearing Up For a Big (Tigger) Weekend

WPGC 95.5's Big Tigger is hosting his 7th Annual Celebrity Classic, June 5-7.

The event brings awareness to AIDS/HIV, via a weekend-long event that boasts a town hall meeting, celebrity forum, youth clinics, and the finale, an all-star celebrity basketball game.

This year's local athletes, confirmed to participate, include Wizards' Caron Butler, Roger Mason, Jr., and DeShawn Stevenson; Redskins' Fred Smoot, Santana Moss, and Clinton Portis; and Baltimore Ravens' Willis McGahee.

Other athletes scheduled to lend their support include Chad Johnson, Terrell Owens, Anthony Henry, Braylon Edwards, Darren Sharper, Deon Grant, Gary Payton, Jerry Porter, Leigh Bodden, Ovie Mughelli, Pat Watkins, Vernon Davis, and Kenyon Martin.

Past celebrity guests have included Lyfe Jennings, Vivica A Fox, Gabrielle Union, and Carl Anthony Payne (Cole from Martin).

This event is always a blast. Check out pix from 2006! (Warning: Photo quality pre-professional era. Ha!)

The three-day weekend event also includes free HIV Testing.
