they are looking for two vehicles believed to be associated with the shooting, including a gray vehicle with a missing rear, right hub cap.

A joint
statement issued by both the D.C. mayor’s office and the Washington Nationals
principal owner, Mark Lerner states:
“While MPD’s investigation is ongoing, it appears the
incident involved a dispute between individuals in two vehicles. MPD does
not believe the Washington Nationals, the ballpark or fans were the target.
A near $20,000
reward is being offered and MPD is asking that anyone with information about
the incident call 202-727-9099 or text 50411.
Saturday’s
game was halted for safety purposes and eventually resumed, with fans even
returning for Sunday’s game between the two teams.
“We
appreciate the tremendous cooperation of the fans at Saturday night’s game who
did all that was asked of them under very stressful circumstances, and the
police and the fire emergency medical personnel who responded. We are committed
to a safe, enjoyable experience for all”, the statement reads.
Washington won Sunday’s contest, 8-7.
