The event, now in its 14th season, saw several Redskins players helping to bring smiles to families and fans. Players Ryan Grant, Pierre Garcon, Colt McCoy, Joey MbuShawn Lauvao and Josh Norman lent a helping hand as they handed out turkeys and took time out to shoot selfies with the families.

The event seemed to set especially well with Josh Norman who appeared to be the favorite on the day as fans, young and old, made sure to get a selfie with the young corner back.

"I love people", Norman said. "I'm just a likeable guy!" (He may also be the most knowledgeable guy.)

County Executive Rushern Baker was also on hand to assist with handing out food items.

"It's been fantastic any time we can get involved in the community", said Shoppers spokesperson Rob Nichols. "We're turning this into a tradition."

2016 is the second year the grocery store chain has participated in the event.

Since 2003, the Redskins have gifted more than 1,152,335 pounds of packaged and fresh food and 490,500 pounds of turkey to area families in need. At this year’s Harvest Feast, the Redskins will distribute roughly 90,000 pounds of packaged food and 30,000 pounds of turkey. Performance Foodservice of Maryland provided a monetary contribution and assisted with volunteer support and in the movement and delivery of food products to FedEx Field.
