2015 Northrup-Grumman Military Bowl

Navy (9-2) to face University of Pittsburgh Panthers (8-4)

The Military BowlTM presented by Northrop Grumman kicks off for the eighth time on Dec. 28 at 2:30 p.m.
ET at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, featuring a matchup between Navy and Pitt. Organized by the DC Bowl Committee, the Military Bowl serves as a premier regional event benefiting the USO and other organizations supporting members of the Armed Forces and their families.

“We feel fortunate to have a team the caliber of Pittsburgh face off against Navy, which is in the midst of one of the greatest seasons in school history. The Panthers play an exciting brand of football and we are sure there will be a buzz in Annapolis on gameday", said Steve Beck, Military Bowl executive director and president.

This will be Navy’s 12th bowl appearance in the past 13 years, including a 29-19 loss to Wake Forest in 2008 in the inaugural EagleBank Bowl, which was the predecessor to the Military Bowl. The Midshipmen have won their past two bowl games.

The Panthers will be playing in a bowl game for the eighth consecutive season. This will be their first Military Bowl appearance.

Since its inception in 2008, the Bowl has donated more than $500,000 to the USO and provided more than 25,000 complimentary tickets for troops and their families.
